Avocado and chocolate is a perfect match for a dessert. In this dessert the creamy avocado taste is enhanced by the rich chocolate ganache.
Avocado is a nutritious fruit which is very popular among health conscious people.This is rich with heart healthy fatty acids and fiber. It also contain vitamin K,C,B Folate and Potassium. Some studies have found Avocado can lower cholesterol and Triglycerides level.Also it helps to prevent from cancers and arthritis.
Avocado can be used into our meals in different ways and this is a one method as a dessert.
Ingredients:
Digestive biscuits - 60 g
Melted butter - 40 g
Gelatin - 1 Tbsp
Water - 45 ml
Avocado - 2
Whole milk - 150 ml
Whipping Cream - 120 g
Sugar - 60 g
Chocolate chips - 50 g
lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
Method :
Grind the biscuits into crumbs. Mix the melted butter with crumbs and place a layer on the bottom of the tray. Press firmly into the bottom.Keep it in the fridge for some time. Mix the gelatin with water and keep it aside to bloom.Cut and scoop the flesh of the avocado to a food processor , mix lemon juice and 60 ml of milk.Blend it to make a smooth paste.
Heat a saucepan and 60 g of whipping cream and 60 ml of milk. Heat it for 2- 3 minutes (80 C). Stir bloomed gelatin.Mix the Avocado mixture and stir well.Keep it for cool.
Mix 60 g of whipping cream and sugar and beat it until it become a thick cream.Add this cream to the Avocado mixture and stir well. Pour the mixture to the tray on top of the biscuit layer. Refrigerate for one night.
Mix the chocolate chips with 30ml of milk and melt the chocolate using double boil method. Pour the chocolate ganache on to the mousse.keep it in the fridge for few minutes and serve.
