Paratha is well known Indian cuisine which is ideal for the breakfast or dinner.This is an indian version of flat bread.This paratha is a healthy recipe since it uses Atta flour (whole wheat flour) and garlic.
Garlic is low on calories and it rich with vitamin C, B6 and Manganese.Garlic reduce the blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart diseases.It also helps to prevent Alzheimer and Dementia.Garlic helps to live longer and boost immunity.
Atta is good source of fiber and it helps to lower the blood sugar .Also it helps to weight loss.The combination of Atta and garlic gives a healthy and tasty meal.Lets make healthy garlic paratha.
Ingredients :
Atta flour 1 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Chopped Garlic 25 cloves
Chopped Cilantro 1/2 cup
Ghee
Salt and red chili powder
Method :
In a bowl mix flour and water , ghee and kneed for about 15 minutes until it becomes a soft dough.Keep it aside for some time.Divide the dough into 3 portions and roll it using a rolling pin to get the perfect round shape.Apply 1 Tsp of ghee on top of the paratha and spread some chili powder and salt.Sprinkle chopped garlic and cilantro on the paratha and sprinkle 1 tsp of flour.Roll the paratha as a fan and twist the rolled paratha from one end to the other.Flat the top of the paratha and roll out again to get the round shape.
Greece the pan and place the flat paratha on the pan. After about 20 seconds turn to the other side and heat the paratha. Once it cooked the layers can be seen.Take the paratha from the pan and repeat the same for others.You can have this with any curry.
Today we serve this with Channa ( Chickpea) masala curry.
